So I walked for 2 and a half hours, which is 3 towns down, 7 miles and quite a bit of it was up hill. I was walking at a steady pace too. I got to the station with 5 minutes to spare, so I walked to the end of the platform and back, I got on the train, still moving my legs when I was sitting down, then got off after 2 stops, and walked from 1 town away which was 2 miles. I realised at this point how dead my body was... I wasn't out of breath, I wasn't hot and my eyes weren't tired, but my body was having trouble moving. That journey should have taken about 25 minutes but instead it took about an hour. It was like a car running on almost no petrol; it moves just about, but very slowly and not well. I couldn't keep walking in a straight line and I felt like my knees were going to give up and make me fall over. I managed to get home though.
I've eaten shite today, before I went on the walk I had half an iced bun, some chocolate coins and a chocolate biscuit... Why couldn't I have at least eaten healthy stuff?! And even on that much food my body still found the end bit of the walking hard. Bummed that I ate that much, but then when I got home I had another chocolate biscuit and half a mince pie. Eugh, why couldn't I have just gone upstairs?! I had a hot chocolate when I got in and the only other drinks I've had is diet coke, which is okay... I think overall its been about... 400 calories. And that is too much thinking about how much I want to be losing and how deeply I feel about it... But I'm hoping the walking helped that. The walking would have worked so much better if it didn't have so much so burn off that I had eaten today, now I ate when I got home and that hasn't been burnt off. I'll do some squats and lunges and stuff a bit later on.
